Adults can’t expect to walk into my life and tell me what to do.

Maybe if I was younger, your “instructing” and the things you want me to do might impact me, or maybe I would consider them. But your window of opportunity has passed. I raised myself. I grew up without adult input into my life, and I grew up without much guidance. 

Which means I taught myself and formed my own opinions and did things my own way. You can’t expect that after leaving me alone for all these years, you can just come into my life for a week and tell me to “do this” and “do that.”

No, it doesn’t work that way. I do what I want, when I want to. ESPECIALLY if you haven’t played a big part in my life.
